About Us

The Yunus Social Business Centre (YSBC) at Daffodil International University, established through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Yunus Centre in November 2016, serves as a dynamic hub for fostering social entrepreneurship and innovation. Inspired by Nobel Laureate Professor Muhammad Yunus, the centre is dedicated to promoting, researching, and implementing social business models that address societal challenges while creating sustainable impact.

YSBC's core mission is to nurture entrepreneurial mindsets and develop future leaders capable of tackling the fast-evolving challenges of the global business landscape. It does so by involving students, faculty members, and industry experts in hands-on business projects, research initiatives, and real-world problem-solving.

The centre emphasizes the importance of social responsibility and equips students with the tools and knowledge to create socially responsible businesses. Through a range of activities such as Social Business Design Labs, practical workshops, industry exposure programs, and summer schools, YSBC provides a platform for students to generate and test innovative social business ideas. Additionally, specialized courses in social entrepreneurship, tailored to foster both theoretical understanding and practical application, help bridge the gap between academic knowledge and real-world impact.

YSBC also plays a key role in raising awareness about the role of business in addressing social and environmental issues, encouraging students and faculty to develop solutions that benefit communities. This holistic approach aligns with the broader mission of Daffodil International University to create socially responsible, future-ready entrepreneurs.
