SBSF, or Social Business Students’ Forum, is a student-led platform under the Yunus Social Business Centre (YSBC) at Daffodil International University. It operates as the students' forum that runs all the activities of YSBC, focusing on various subjects and objectives aimed at empowering students and fostering social innovation.
Through this forum, students develop key skills such as communication, leadership, and innovative thinking. With a strong emphasis on skills engagement, the Social Business Students’ Forum uses social innovation as a practical vehicle for learning these skills through hands-on experiences. Aligned with the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), social business initiatives within the forum address pressing social challenges, promote economic development, gender empowerment, and environmental sustainability. The SDGs aim to eradicate poverty, hunger, AIDS, and discrimination against women and girls.
The Social Business Students' Forum caters to students who are eager to develop their interpersonal and professional skills. It serves as a platform for them to showcase their diligence, performance, and talents. While other forums may have limited opportunities, SBSF offers an inclusive space for engagement in areas such as Public Relations, Event Management, Media, Design, Hosting, Cultural Activities, Information Technology, and Decorations teams. Additionally, SBSF leads skill development courses, member counseling sessions, workshops, international volunteering opportunities, and various social work initiatives.
Under the umbrella of the Yunus Social Business Centre, SBSF also manages flagship programs such as the Youth Social Business Center, International Social Business Summer Program, Social Business Youth Convention, and the Women Leadership Program. These programs aim to create a generation of socially conscious leaders ready to solve global challenges through social business principles.
